Why I do this….
I’ve always been drawn to the moments that aren’t meant to be perfectly posed. The kind you almost miss if you aren’t paying attention. A laugh in between photos. A hand reaching for another. The quiet before everything changes.
Photography became my way of holding onto those pieces of life. I love people, movement, music, travel, love and the feeling of being somewhere completely present and I want my work to feel like that.
I’m not here to create a version of your love that looks perfect. I’m here to document the version that feels real.
The messy, intimate, loud, quiet, wildly in-love kind of real.
Because years from now, I want you to look at your photos and not just remember what it looked like.. I want you to remember exactly how it felt.
I’ve never done this before—or at least that’s what I told myself. But here I am again, trying to put the noise and the wonder of my mind into words to share.
There’s a particular sound that lives inside me; the hum of calmness, the echo of success I haven’t reached yet, the warmth of other people’s stories rising like the sun. Coming of age tales, late night drives with the windows down, my favorite song convincing me.. just for a moment that I’m the main character of a movie no one else can see.
I’m not the best with grammar or spelling or getting my thoughts out fast enough. But I am good at ideas! Too many, probably.
I’ve tried a bit of everything: mixed media art, poetry (I used to write so much more), photography( why you’re here), drawing, gardening, tattooing, sewing. I am a committed beginner in a hundred different worlds.. yet a master of none, lover of all. I start things with fire and abandon them when the flame fades or when I’m not instantly great. My creative battery is passionate but short-lived! I desire to keep it lit longer through the lens of my camera and romance of you!
So this blurb is kind of an experiment. A journal entry? A conversation with myself, spoken out loud onto paper. Now inviting you! Into my chaotic, creative mind! I don’t have a plan or a why to this blurb but vulnerable deep dives, love & laughter, whatever spills out of me through my lens of my camera.
I want to commit to this gently. No pressure. No perfection. Just creativity. Maybe my only real goal is release, finding peace, and watching people fall in love again and again.
Experience is what makes life feel worth living and sharing what I see feels like a small kind of magic.
